Ferrari Tailor Made

Bespoke is in our DNA.

Work with our specialists and Ferrari’s Tailor Made atelier to specify rare pigments, historical color matching, bespoke leather and stitching, and one-of-one finishes. Certain colors are not permitted to leave Maranello.

SOLID

Rosso Corsa

The most iconic of all Ferrari colors. Red was assigned to Italy as its national racing color in the early 1900s, and the first car to leave Maranello — the 125 S, in 1947 — wore it.

Finish:

Solid (Pastello)

Introduced:

1947

PAINT FINISHES

The finish is half the color.

Modern Ferrari buyers are as invested in finish type as they are in shade. The same red can appear dramatically different in Pastello, Metallizzato, or Opaco. Understanding the finish is the first step to choosing the right Ferrari.

Pastello

Solid

Pure, no metallic content. Every line reads with clarity. The original Ferrari finish.

Rosso Corsa, Giallo Modena, Bianco Avus

Metallizzato

Metallic

Flakes catch and shift light — looks entirely different in sun versus shade.

Grigio Silverstone, Blu Tour de France, Rosso Fiorano

Tristrato

Triple-layer

Three coats, extraordinary depth. Shifts character in different light.

Giallo Triplo Strato, Rosso Fuoco, Rosso Maranello

Opaco

Matte

Zero reflection. Modern and aggressive. Requires specialist care.

Nero DS Opaco, Rosso Opaco, Grigio Opaco

MARANELLO INSIDER

Custom, within limits. Tailor Made unlocks unique pigments and historical matching — but certain colors, including pink, are forbidden from leaving Maranello. Altering a factory Ferrari finish after delivery can also trigger a response from Ferrari’s legal team.
