WHAT AN EVENT! FERRARI RACING DAYS ELECTRIFIES MIAMI

May 22nd, 2025 by

The Miami International Autodrome recently set the stage for Ferrari Racing Days, hosting the thrilling third round of the Ferrari Challenge North America. It was an action-packed celebration of the Prancing Horse.

Operating just miles from its headquarters, Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale was fully engaged, fielding a dozen drivers across four series: Trofeo Pirelli, Club Challenge, the XX Programme, and Club Competizioni GT.

Fresh off the excitement of the Formula 1 Grand Prix, the circuit surrounding Hard Rock Stadium—home of the Miami Dolphins—was once again alive with Ferrari red along the 2.8-mile Extended Marina Loop.

In the Trofeo Pirelli, Dan Magnuszewski (#17) and Omar Balkissoon (#33) were joined by newcomer Matthew Diehl (#39), making his racing debut. Just a month after winning the Track Attack session at Daytona, Diehl quickly made his mark: he logged the sixth-fastest time in every qualifying session, secured a maiden Top 5 in Race 1, and finished 11th in Race 2 despite a challenging start mid-pack. Dan turned in two strong Top 10 finishes, including a clean and consistent drive to 7th place on Saturday.

In Club Challenge, Kevin and Gus Gutierrez piloted their 296 Challenge entries (#208 and #207), while Mico Novovic and Tommy Cabrerizo continued their campaigns in Club Competizioni GT, driving the 488 GT3 and 488 GT3 Modificata, respectively.

The event also marked a milestone for the FXX Programme, as Garrett and Patricia Hayim (Ferrari FXX K), and Erin, Chris, and Michael Doherty (Ferrari FXX Evo) experienced the Miami International Autodrome for the first time in these iconic machines.

Beyond the track, the Ferrari experience extended into the paddock. Guests at the Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale hospitality suite were treated to an immersive showcase of Ferrari passion. Highlights included the signature Casa Ferrari lounge and Passione Ferrari Activities, offering Road Test Drives, Discovery Drives, Owner Lapping, and the exclusive Ferrari Atelier experience.

On Saturday morning, over 100 Ferrari owners gathered at the Perez Museum of Art for a morning of coffee and camaraderie followed by a rally to the Autodrome where all enjoyed an owner’s lap and group picture.

For those seeking balance between thrill and relaxation, Wellness Experiences were a standout—featuring massages, IV drips, and compression therapy to help guests recharge between sessions.

Saturday concluded with a special evening hosted by Ferrari North America at the New World Center in Miami Beach, where the highly anticipated 296 Speciale was unveiled.

Next stop for Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale Racing: Indianapolis. After exciting rounds in Daytona and Miami, the team now prepares to take on the legendary circuit, as a dynamic and competitive season continues.
