2023 Ferrari Challenge

This past weekend, the Ferrari Challenge North America paddock began its 2023 season at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The perfect Miami weather was followed by a great two days full of qualifying and racing action. Ferrari Challenge are an intense-packed, competitive set of races divided under four main categories: Trofeo Pirelli, Trofeo Pirellia AM, Coopa Shell, and Coopa Shell AM.

With its track being almost a completely flat surface, Homestead provides the racers a complex combination of high and low speed corners, specifically challenging the drivers with traction control, being the track layout provides the longest straights on the layout followed by low-speed tight corners. The weekend had an amazing turnout of action and excitement.

The Trofeo Pirelli category was secured by Roberto Perrina (Ferrari of Seattle) secured the first win of the 2023, as he took off from the start and was unstoppable. The race was mainly uninterrupted, assuring a confident and constant pace for Perrina. The Trofeo Pirelli AM was taken by Marc Muzzo which he successfully took his rightful place at the last corner, preventing any possible opening for any other driver. The Coppa Shell ended unfortunately due to a driver who struck the wall at turn three, but the win was still well deserved and given to Sureel Choski. Finally, we enter the Coppa Shell AM category where Lisa Clark made it her goal to win her first race of the 2023 season, by successfully passing Dan Cornish, and it was a clean straight win for her.

The Ferrari Challenge North America kicked off with a great 2023 Season. We look forward to seeing all the racers at the Circuit of the Americas April 19 – April 23. If it’s anything compared to what we witnessed this past weekend, we are in for a great season.
