For three days in February, the Gulf Coast and South Florida sounded like Brescia in 1955.
The 1000 Miglia Experience Florida brings Italy’s Mille Miglia — one thousand miles — to American roads. The original was an open-road endurance race run from 1927 to 1957, and it asked something different of a car than a lap time did. It asked whether the car would still be running at the end.
The Florida edition keeps that question. Crews ran a set route from Naples to Miami, navigating by road book, with regularity tests along the way. Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale was glad to be part of it.
A pre-event training session covers navigation and driving technique — worth taking if this is your first regularity rally. Unlike a static concours, this format rewards coordination, preparation, and mechanical dependability over presentation alone.
Technical support along the route is limited by design. Crews are expected to arrive with some mechanical familiarity of their own — part of what keeps the event true to its endurance origins.

Crews were welcomed to our new service facility for coffee and pastries before continuing south.
As part of the rally’s South Florida leg, participating crews stopped at our newly opened Ferrari of Boca Raton service facility.
Each class winner takes home the official 1000 Miglia trophy — designed by Pininfarina, handcrafted by Barovier & Toso — along with a Chopard chronograph and a Pacto helmet.
Poltrona Frau Award. Judged separately, for originality, craftsmanship, and interior preservation. The detail award rather than the podium one.
