1967 Shelby Mustang GT500

Ferrari Maserati Alfa Romeo of Fort Lauderdale is proud to announce the arrival of this stunning Shelby Mustang GT500. Finished in Wimbledon White over Black, the GT500 is in pristine condition inside and out. The odometer shows 86,776 miles, and the Shelby has been painstakingly restored. This GT500 offered with an Elite Marti report.

This 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 is one of 2,048 fastback examples produced for the model year and was delivered new to Victor Ford of Wauconda, Illinois. It spent time in several states before undergoing a refurbishment that was completed in 2003. Finished in Wimbledon White with blue stripes, the car is powered by a 428ci V8 that was originally backed by an automatic transmission, though the car was fitted with a four-speed Toploader in the 1980s. Additional equipment includes a roller camshaft, the extra cooling package, Magnaflow mufflers, 15 Magstar wheels, power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, black vinyl upholstery, a push-button AM radio, three-point front seat belts, and a fold-down rear bench.

This example was originally finished in Wimbledon White (4) and was repainted with blue rocker-panel and over-the-top stripes under previous ownership. Additional equipment includes a driver-side mirror, inboard grille-mounted driving lamps, hood-retention pins, and dual exhaust outlets that exit below the rear valance. The turn signal system was serviced in December 2023 along with the installation of a replacement headlight. The 15? Magstar wheels are mounted with 225/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, while a steel spare wheel with a Goodyear tire is stowed in the trunk.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a fold-down rear bench trimmed in black vinyl along with a color-coordinated headliner, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes the Courtesy Light group as well as a push-button AM radio, a Shelby-specific roll bar, three-point front seatbelts, and rear lap belts. The wood-rimmed steering wheel wears a Shelby center cap and frames a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and fuel level and coolant temperature gauges. A Stewart Warner oil pressure gauge and ammeter are mounted beneath the radio.

The 428ci V8 features the optional Extra Cooling Package, two Holley four-barrel carburetors, a Cobra-branded air cleaner, and finned Cobra Le Mans valve covers. It is said to have been rebuilt by Dave's Performance Engineering of Fresno, California, approximately 3k miles ago, and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale. Delivered from the factory with a C-6 automatic transmission, the car was fitted with a replacement four-speed Toploader manual transmission in the 1980s. The exhaust system features Magnaflow mufflers.

Documentation accompanying the car includes a reproduction window sticker and an Elite Marti Report detailing colors, equipment, serial numbers, and production information.
