Ferrari Does Wall Street

Just two days ago, Ferrari Chairman Sergio Marchionne rang the famous opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. That was the day that Ferrari became a publicly traded company, with its shares listing on the NYSE under the ticker symbol RACE. According to a NBC News article published that day, “The IPO put the initial share price at $52….In early trading, the stock jumped $8.50 a share, to $60.50.” You can watch video footage from the ground-breaking day below.

Maranello-based Ferrari, established by Enzo Ferrari in 1929, is valued at almost $10 billion. To read the whole NBC article about the company’s NYSE debut, visit http://www.nbcnews.com/business/markets/ferrari-blasts-down-road-not-taken-until-now-nyse-listing-n448451.
