What’s special about this 500th LaFerrari, aside from it being the last of the limited edition series that is the first hybrid super car produced by Ferrari? This model won’t be found in your local Ferrari showroom since it will be sold at auction, with the proceeds directly benefiting the people affected by the Italian earthquake. Ferrari is a staple of Italian culture all over the globe, with one of the most recognizable logos in the world representing one of the most finely crafted automobiles on the road. Ferrari and Italian race cars in general are a source of great pride for the Italian people, so it seems fitting that Ferrari has found a way to reach out to the people who were tragically affected by the major earthquake in central Italy on August 24, 2016.
