ALMS - Racing at Mid Ohio

Maranello, 3 August – Two weeks after the race in Mosport, Canada, the American Le Mans Series will be back on track this weekend, at the twisty Mid-Ohio circuit in Lexington. Thirty three cars are entered including three 458 Italia GT2s in the GT category: one is entered by Houston’s Risi Competizione, in the competent hands of Jaime Melo and Toni Vilander, while the other two are entered by Extreme Speed Motorsports, for Scott Sharp-Johannes van Overbeek and Ed Brown-Guy Cosmo. The event gets underway on Friday with free practice and qualifying, while the race, a relative sprint at two hours and forty five minutes, starts at 15.30 on Saturday.
